This Oaxacan-inspired cocktail mixer is unlike anything we’ve had before. It’s a unique take on one of our favorite cocktails – the Old Fashioned – and we can’t get enough. It's bittersweet, rich, slightly-spicy, and totally takes happy hour to a whole new level.
This one of a kind mixer is made with dried Mexican chiles, cocoa nibs and spices, sweetened with raisins and aged with cocoa husks from French Broad Chocolates (another Mouth maker!) in Asheville, NC. Bittermilk recommends mixing it up with tequila or mezcal, in place of the typical whiskey. We know – our Mouths are hanging open, too.
TIP OF THE TONGUE
Make a *New* Fashioned, if you will: Stir 1 part mixer to 4 parts tequila (or mezcal) with ice. Garnish with a lime twist. Never look back.
