Organic lime juice and organic cane sugar, boiled together and bottled. That’s all there is to it. When the bottle is opened, an invigorating scent of freshly zested lime will hit the nose. Tasted on its own, the viscous syrup will recall memories of sucking on lime hard candies — but of course, there’s nothing artificial here, just concentrated flavor. The elixir is so concentrated, in fact, that it only takes a tablespoon to liven up an eight ounce glass of soda water.
How did the makers achieve such an impact with only three ingredients? Well, Genevieve and Dan of Raft have done years of experimentation, originally starting with Mason jars in their basement. They’re committed to working with real organic ingredients, and we're here for it.
Tip of the Tongue:
Shaken with tequila and orange bitters, it makes for an easy margarita. Stirred into a G&T, a new layer of flavor dances on the tongue. Or you can think out of the, ahem, bottle, and use it to glaze meats.
